Marjory Stoneman Douglas is one of 15 Broward County Public Schools high schools that stand out for being among the best in the nation in the 2020 edition of U.S. News & World Report’s Best High Schools.
U.S. News & World Report evaluated more than 24,000 public high schools in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Nearly 18,000 schools were ranked on six factors based on their performance on state assessments and how well they prepare students for college: college readiness, college curriculum breadth, reading and math proficiency, reading and math performance, underserved student performance and graduation rate.
In the latest rankings, MSD is 1,543 in the nation out of 24,000 high schools, which puts it in the top 6 percent and 87th in the State.
Ranking in the top 5 percent is Pompano Beach High School, Willliam T. McFatter Technical High School, Cypress Bay High School.
