The Coconut Creek Police Department, in collaboration with wildlife experts, is hosting a community event to educate the community on how they can stay safe amid the rising number of coyote and alligator sightings in South Florida.
The Coconut Creek Police Department and the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission have teamed up to host a Coyote & Gator Awareness Seminar on Wednesday, February 19, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Rowe Activity Center at 900 Northwest 43rd Avenue.
This free safety and awareness seminar is open to the public and designed to inform residents about the growing presence of coyotes and alligators in Broward County.
The two-hour event will feature appearances from wildlife professionals offering guidance on how to coexist safely with our neighbors. Attendees can also ask questions, learn safety tips, and better understand these animals’ behaviors, which will help them learn best how to stay safe and out of their way.
